CASology Challenge - Flame

Just got back from a one night trip to Berlin and thought I'd relax today at my craft desk. So I decided to give it a GO at the CASology Challenge this week. The INTENSE cue word this time is:

When I saw this I immediately thought of a tip used in the Clean & Simple Class 1, where a cling background stamp was cut (on purpose) into 5 pieces. So I took my Hero Arts Cling stamp "Zig Zag" and cut it into 5 pieces. This way I can ink up each piece with a different colour and gather the pieces before I stamp on paper. Thats one of the fantastic things about a Cling stamp!

For the past 2 months I've been using Sakura's "Quikie Glue" roller and it works magic when you need to glue tiny little things like really small letters. In USA it can be found here at SimonSaysStamp and in Denmark it can be found at Panduro. Go ahead and try it - especially, if you are looking for a good glue pen. If you've found another one which you find works magic, then tell me. I'd love to hear from you.

Check out my finished card! Here you can see the effect it gives when using several colours on a background stamp.

Look at the glitter effect in FIRE....

Materials:

Card Base:
  • To adhere the glitter behind "FIRE" I used double sided tape. After rubbing in the glitter in the tape, I gave the glitter a little bit of colour with Promarker "gold".
  • For the card base I used plain black cardboard.
Card Front:
  • White cardboard.
  • Hero Arts Cling background stamp "Zig Zag".
  • Ink colours for the ZigZag: (from top to bottom) Hero Arts Shadow Ink (HASI) "Butter bar", Memories Dye Ink "Mango", HASI "Orange Soda", HASI "Pale Tomato" and lastly HASI "Red Royal".
  • For the word FIRE I've used Spellbinders Presto Punch letter dies.
  • For the small letters I've used Die-Versions.com "A hint of Lime".

Thanks for stopping by and have a pleasant weekend :o)
