His & Hers Class - Day 4: Mother's & Father's Day Card

On day 4 in Class the theme was Mother's and Father's Day.

Jennifer McGuire showed us how easily to make our own sentiments & greetings on the computer in Microsoft Word.

Day 4's guest teacher, Kelly Rasmussen, showed us a fun card with your own homemade "chipboard" letters and a card with a flap.

I decided to try out a combo of the above, but instead of making my own chipboard letters I have made a chipboard car.

I wanted the card to look like a road with a STOP-sign. And I think I nailed it pretty well, if I may say so. This is the card.....

The car is made by punching out two 1,5" circles and cutting them in half. Then I end up with 4 pieces, which I have glued together. I found two old buttons which easily can go for tires. These I have glued on using Glossy Accents. With the Signo White pen I have drawn two windows, so it looks more like a car.

The little car is adhered with a 3D piece, which has gotten a little bit of Glossy Accents to make sure it stays put. This is important as the car hold the STOP-sign (flap) in place.

The sentiment on the front start with "STOP..." and continues inside the card.

The sentiment inside is made on the computer in Word. I must admit that I'm not that familiar with English "sayings", but I think you get the drift :o)

I really like the fact that the STOP-sign aka the flap also shows when you open up the card.

With this card I am participating in Simon Says Stamp challenge "Happy Mail..." and

CASology Challenge with the cue card "CARE".

Thanks for taking a peek. Hope you got some inspiration :o)
