Playing with Colour Blocks

Yesterday my mother came to visit and scrap with me. She is working on a project for one of my nephews and needed some help. Well, maybe it was my tools she needed the most ;)

While she was busy with her project I decided to make a couple of cards using only colour blocks out of bits and pieces. I have had a lot of left overs of card stock since I did the OnlineCardClasses.com class "Summer Card Camp 2" in July.

I got the inspiration from a card in Pinterest and cannot find the card now. I have been trying to find the card now for half an hour without any luck.

The cards I made is with Danish sentiment. ("Tillykke" means Congrats).

All the blocks are made using LifeStyle Crafts "Nesting Card Templates". The part of cutting out all the blocks from scrap was the most time consuming.

I lay out all the colour blocks on the card base before adhering them. Wanted to be absolutely sure where each colour should be placed before adhering them.
