Layered Inking Technique

I am loving the new "Clean & Simple 4 - Techniques made simple". Oh boy, do they show us some awesome techniques for clean and simple style.

I do admit that some of the techniques are familiar but those have gotten an awesome twist...just fabulous!

This is actually the first card I started on today but due to long drying time you first get to see it now.

This is the Layered Inking technique shown by Jennifer McGuire in class today.

First I inked up my white front panel completely with Hero Arts Shadow Ink which is a dye ink. According to J. McGuire the HA Shadow Ink is perfect for this technique.

Then I added a bit of darker blue with my ink blending tool.

Now to the interesting part. First I used fun foam to create a stamp from the Antlers die. This DIY stamp I used to stamp with VersaMark watermark ink on my coloured front panel.

Now the waiting time begins. Reasons is that the VersaMark will come to life if you wait a while....well I waited almost 4 hours before taking this photo. But it works!

I then added a die-cut tiny little deer and the Dymo sentiment.

Last thing was to add dots of black enamel.

I promise this will be my last card for today.

With this card I am participating in:

  19. Rigtig rigtig flot.
