SBD2018 - Envelope Art with Simon Says Stamp

I am almost done showing you my projects from this year's InterNational Scrapbooking Day which took place on May 5th. I was hosting a Cyber Crop on behalf of The Paper Crafting Magazine and we had 3 challenges for the participants. 

Here is what I created for the Photo & Colour challenge.

Before I started this I wasn't sure which base ink to stamp the doily with so I had to test a couple out. 

I ended up going with the Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Soft Pool. It fit the challenge the best. 

To avoid the Promarker pens to bleed through the envelope I made sure to add some padding. This was just a piece of printer paper folded to fit into the envelope. 

And here is the result after adding some colour with Promarkers. 

Soon I'll be sharing the last project from InterNational Scrapbooking Day. Next up is with Concord & 9th.

SBD2018 - Envelope Art with Clearly Besotted

Alright, time to share my second project for one of the challenges from InterNational Scrapbooking Day on May 5th. Here I coordinated and hosted a Cyber Crop for The Paper Crafting Magazine on Facebook. 

The Cyber Crop makes it possible for Scandinavian crafters to virtually meet and have fun, share inspiration and craft together. 

This was the challenge:

The weather was wonderful on May 5th in Denmark but we still did loads of crafting. I was joined by 3 other crafters and had wonderful company through the day. 

As per tradition lunch was sushi and for the first time in 3 years we could enjoy it outdoors. We even needed sunglasses, yay!

This is yummy!!

SBD2018 - Envelope Art with Create A Smile

May 5th was InterNational Scrapbooking Day and this I celebrated together with The Paper Crafting Magazine (TPC) in a Cyber Crop. 

Two times a year The Paper Crafting is hosting a Cyber Crop - coordinated by me - for Scandinavians in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. A day filled with creativity, fun and challenges. 

One of the challenges was this one: 

Usually I am a cardmaker but I wanted to honour it being Scrapbooking Day and decided on Envelope Art. 

This is what I created on the day....

First up I grab an envelope and padded it with a piece of folded A4 scrap paper. I didn't want to risk the Promarker pens to bleed through the envelope. 

Secondly I found the suited colours according to the challenge. 

 I imitated the stripes as on the Challenge picture. 

An the front of the envelope I wanted to use the speech bubles. Here I had a stencil from Create A Smile and chose to follow it with a Promarker pen. Not the result I was hoping for as the Promarker pen made bleeding dots. Oh well. 

For additional decorating I have used stamps from Simon Says Stamp and Technique Tuesday. 

Here is the final result of my attempt for Envelope Art.
