Pastel Easter Eggs Decor

Easter is upon us very soon and hopefully so is spring. Spring is said to begin March 1st in Denmark but we sure haven't seen much of it yet. Hopefully the frost and snow will leave soon. 

One Friday at work I got the urge to make some Easter decor eggs. In one of my breaks I went into our sample room, where we keep sample sheets of gift wrapping paper and sample ribbon ready to send out to customers. Oh my, it's a tiny bit of paper heaven. 

Be warned - lot's of pictures in this post. 

I recently purchased a littel bunny die and some egg shaped frame dies. It was time to get them to work. 

By using double sided tape I can transform the gift wrapping paper into cardstock. This give you endless possibilies and a reason to hang onto gorgeous gift wrapping paper. 

I ended up using the 3 below shown gift wrapping papers to make my Easter eggs. The gift wrapping paper is from Scanlux-packaging.com.

Each Easter egg is made up of two die-cuts. These are glued together back-to-back. 

The big Easter eggs were added a ribbon bow to each side. 

To some of the eggs I added the cute bunny in glitter cardstock. For two of them I used the inlaid die-cutting texhnique and for I added the leftover bunny die-cut as a layer. 

Here are the results hanging beautifully.....

In total I made 3 sets of 3 of each gift wrapping paper. For some reason I like matching sets when it comes to Easter or Christmas decor.

30 Day Coloring Challenge - Day 11 with Create A Smile & ZIG Clean Color

During this March I am trying to participate as often as possible in 
The Daily Marker "30 Day Coloring Challenge".
Basically, its all about colouring a little bit every day - if your daily life and work allows it. 

 

Amazing Kathy Racoosin is the master mind behind this. 

Below is my finished card with the colouring for Day 11. 

Until now I have colouring with Promarker pens and Inktense pencils. 

Today I am showing a card where I have used my ZIG Clean Color pens - and I just Looove them! Love, love, love them! Yep...

So sorry I forgot to write down the ZIG colours I have used to colour in these two perky easter characters.

30 Day Coloring Challenge - Day 5 with Clearly Besotted & Inktense pencils

Have you heard of The Daily Marker "30 Day Coloring Challenge"? No, then you should really check it out.

Below is my finished card with the colouring for Day 5.  

I have coloured the daffodil with Derwent Inktense pencils. But this time I did something different than usual. I didn't use a water brush to blend the colours. This time I used the pencils themselves to blend. As I am using ordinary kraft cardstock water blending would not be the best idea.

 

I wanted to try out colouring only with pencils inspired by Stephanie Klauck. Stephanie is a true wizard with colouring pencils - for one thing she does the most amazing colouring of Disney characters. She shares this on Instagram @sklauck.

The next following days I'll be sharing much more of my daily colouring. Next up is colouring with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush pens. Stay Tuned!
