3 Months Till Christmas | Simon Says Stamp | Hobbyboden

It is such a good feeling when a card idea ends up exactly as planned. This is one of those times. 

As it is the 24th of the month it's time to show some Christmas card inspiration. 

This is also happening over at the Danish Operation Write Home blog, where I and two fellow crafters share Christmas card inspiration. 

To make the winter sky in the round diecut windue I started off by masking the blue cardstock. Making sure to stay inside the area which would be covered by the white cardfront. 

First I used the ink blending tool with the white pigment ink. Then I used white mist to splatter on some drops of white. I could have stopped there but then I got the idea to add some shine with spray mists. 

The sentiment is heat embossed with my absolute favorite colour Liquied Platinum. 

I always use the powder tool before heat embossing. It truly does make your result so much better and sharp.

SBD2018 - Splatter Mists with My Favorite Things

Next up is my second project for the "Splatter & Mists" challenge from Scrapbooking Day May 5th. 

When you work on kraft cardstock it is more thirsty than normal white cardstock. So working with mists is a little bit different on kraft. 

Here I have only used white and gold mists. 

I kept this card very simple by only using the colours white, gold and kraft.

SBD2018 - Splatter Mist with Simon Says stamp

On May 5th it was InterNational Scrapbooking Day and this I celebrated all day long with crafty friends while hosting a Cyber Crop event for The Paper Crafting Magazine. 

For our Cyber Crop event we had 3 different challenges and of course sponsor prizes to win. We had a total of 7 sponsor prizes to a bunch of lucky winners - how fantastic is that!

Here is one of my takes on this challenge 'cause I always play along myself  :)

For my card I made a total mix of colours....as first I wasn't really happy about it and was very close to trowing it in the bin. 

But a die and stampset from Simon Says Stamp saved it for certain scrap death. 

On May 5th was had splendid weather in Denmark so we created a little photo shoot area on one of the garden tables. One of the others took a shot at me taking a photo of one of my projects.
