Operation Write Home #4 Fif Fusion + Video

This is a card and video created for the Danish Operation Write Home.

In 2016 I am helping out over on their blog as a maternity cover. I got the idea to create a "Fif Fusion" of some of the card tips, which Cecilie has created for the past years. 

This is my fourth "Fif Fusion" for Operation Skriv Hjem. 

It went live on their blog July 14th 2016.

6 Months Till Christmas

Today's card is made for the Danish Operation Write Home (Operation Skriv Hjem / OSH) 'cause I am over on their blog today.

Here is the Christmas card I have created based on inspiration from this card found on Pinterest. 

I have used the technique partial die-cutting to make the antlers on this card. The die from WRMK's is a whole deer head but by only putting a part of the die between my Big Shot plates I could do this.

Colour Fun on Acetate

I had hoped to be able to make two cards today for the Clear & Sheer class at Online Card Classes. But my Mother had a short unexpected trip to the Emergency Room today. She is fine and back again at the rehabilitation center. Phew!

Today I have tried a bit of the technique shown by Debby Hughes on Day 4. It's about colouring heat embossed images on acetate. 

Here is my take on it. 

 I have heat embossed my image on acetate. Before I prepped my acetate with a good layer with the powder tool to remove static. 

Then I coloured in the image from the backside using alcohol pens, Promarkers. 

I have chosen to glue on my piece of acetate directly onto my card front. Here I have used Scotch Spray Mount adhesive. It worked as a charm and you cannot see the glue through the acetate. Perfect!

Glittering Birthday with Memory Box

Oh, I am soooo glad it's Friday. Fridays are the best!

Today I want to share with you a card I actually made for Round 2 at The World Scrap Battle & Tournament 2015, but chose not to use. 

I chose THIS card instead and it got me to Round 3 :) 

The theme for Round 2 was "Monochromatic" and with this card I also chose to do quite a bit of glitter embossing. 

Look at the stunning "Holographic" embossing powder effect from Ranger! Used it on the die-cut word and the card base. 

Many might be wondering why there hasn't been any news regarding Round 3 in The World Scrap Battle & Tournament. 

Reason is that the tournament was shut down before Round 3 winners could be announced. The lady behind this arrangement and tournament suddenly lost 2 family members in a car accident and chose to shut the battle down immediately. So tragic and my heart goes out to her. This is all I know and I have not heard if it will be continued. None of the participants therefore knows if they have moved on to Round 4 - me included. 

It was fun as long as i lasted :)
