Christmas Poinsettia

Today I am sharing a no-stamping card 'cause this is all die-cuts.
Over at the Danish Operation Write Home (OSH) it is now possible to link up your Christmas card, so this one goes to Mr. Linky overthere.

I have used several dies for my card which I will show under "Supplies used". For the doily I have used gold cardstock.

Christmas in July........Sweet Stampin' Challenge

It is time for a new challenge at the
This time we want you to make a card or project with the theme....
"Christmas in July"
I know it can be hard to think winter, cold, Christmas, snowflakes etc. when it is rather warm and sunny outside. But get those dusty Christmas stamps out in the open and stamp away :)
Remember your card MUST have stamping on it!


Here is my card just to give you a little inspiration....

For my card I have played with Copper embossing powder and Tim Holtz Distress Inks.

Holiday Card Workshop Day 3 - Clean & Simple #2

Day 3 of the Holiday Card Workshop with OnlineCardClasses.com was all about Clean & Simple cards.

I decided to try out another card with inspiration from guest teacher Shari Carroll.
This is how my card turned out using Shari's "Diagonal Design".

This is so simple and easy to mass produce. Fantastic idea and perfect for both beginners and experienced card makers. 

I have used pattern paper for the bottom part. Then added a thin strip of gold card stock and stamped the "Christmas" multiple times. The happy is a die-cut from Simon Says Stamp.

The final touches are the sequins and the tied bow.

Notice how the card front is adhered to the card base in the corner and not in the center! This was a trick shown by Shari. So simple a way to add a little "different touch" to your card.

Holiday Card Workshop Day 3 - Clean & Simple

Day 3 of the Holiday Card Workshop with OnlineCardClasses.com is all about Clean & Simple cards.
I decided to give it a go with inspiration from guest teacher Shari Carroll.
This is how my card turned out using Shari's "Use of Space", which is actually a bit more "filled up" than my usual CAS cards. But it is fun to try out new things.

The green base is adhered to the card base with 3D squares to give dimension to the card.

I don't have a tag die, so I just took a manila tag and cut out an window with my exacto knife and volá, look at the result. The tag is then adhered with 3D squares.

I have die cut the "happy" in gold card stock and adhered it to the frame of the tag, so it looks like it is floating in the frame.
