Honey Bee Hello Cuts | Altenew Dotted Scales | Scrapbook Adhesives 3L Black

Keeping it simple is my mantra and this card turned out just the way I wanted it. 

Clean and Simple with focus on the sentiment with a splash of yellow.

(Psst, I am also sharing a little puppy pic in the end).

The Dotted Scalles background die is stunning and makes the sentiment pop more. 

But the addition of the yellow drops and the yellow envelope gives that extra Umpf to the card. 

The gorgeous Hello sentiment die from Honey Bee Stamps comes with two shadow dies. I have made another card using the complete sentiment die including shadow dies and you can see it HERE. 

I love combining different brands when I make cards. What about you?

30 Day Coloring Challenge - Day 14 with Altenew Stamps & Zig Clean Color

I just can't get myself to leave my Zig's alone. It took a little while for them to grow on me and now they are my absolute preferred coloring medium. 

One thing I have learned is that the quality and type of the paper matters A LOT!

This card is also with Altenew's "Hennah Elements". This time just in pink colours. You can see my previous Altenew card HERE.

Participating in Kathy Racoosin's "30 Day Coloring Challenge" during this March has really gotten me to pull out some stamps I haven't used for quite a while.

30 Day Coloring Challenge - Day 5 with Clearly Besotted & Inktense pencils

Have you heard of The Daily Marker "30 Day Coloring Challenge"? No, then you should really check it out.

 

Amazing Kathy Racoosin is the master mind behind this. 

Below is my finished card with the colouring for Day 5.  

I have coloured the daffodil with Derwent Inktense pencils. But this time I did something different than usual. I didn't use a water brush to blend the colours. This time I used the pencils themselves to blend. As I am using ordinary kraft cardstock water blending would not be the best idea.

 

I wanted to try out colouring only with pencils inspired by Stephanie Klauck. Stephanie is a true wizard with colouring pencils - for one thing she does the most amazing colouring of Disney characters. She shares this on Instagram @sklauck.

That is it for today. 

The next following days I'll be sharing much more of my daily colouring. Next up is colouring with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush pens. Stay Tuned!
