Bomb Diggity | CAS-ual Fridays Stamps | Ink Smooshing with Distress Oxide Inks

You are fabulous! What is not to like when you get a card saying so :)

It's also a fabulous day as it's my wedding day today and I am enjoying the day with hubby and our little pup Nelly in the family summer house on the Danish island Bornholm. One of my favorite places on earth. 

This stamp from CAS-usal Fridays are just perfect for brighten up the day for someone you care about. 

I have used the Ink Smooshing technique to create this card. This also gave me a perfect excuse to play with my Distress Oxides. 

I honestly admit that this is one of the first times using them and they still haven't won me over. Sorry! But I am just not so fond of the chalky look they give. Maybe one day I will see the light. 

Just look at this fabulous embossing powder result! I have used super fine embossing powder which in my opinion gives a better result when working with sentiments. 

But it is also important to remember to use an anti-static powder tool before heat embossing. So you avoid getting stray powder everywhere you don't want it.

Frightfully Sweet | My Favorite Things | Halloween | Polychromos colouring

Today I am sharing a card I made for World Cardmaking Day on October 6th. Each year on this day I am hosting a Cyber Crop event in colaboration with The Paper Crafting Magazine. This is an event for Scandinavian crafters from Denmark, Norway and Sweden. 

And not to forget....

Besides hosting the event I also get crafty myself on the day. And this is my card for one of the challenges. 

To colour the little cute critter I have used Polychromos pencils.

9 Months Till Christmas with Newton's Nook

Oh boy, it's already the 24th again and there is now 9 months till Christmas. Winter is almost over and spring is fighting its way back. Love this time of year :)

As usual we are sharing some Christmas Card inspiration over at Operation Skriv Hjem (Danish Operation Write Home). 

This time I've gone for a more modern Christmas card...

I have first heat embossed the ornaments and the sentiment with gold embossing powder. 

Then I used my Blending Tool to add three fresh colours of Distress Ink to each ornament. To add a little more detail in colour I used my Inktense pencils to colour in a few of the areas of the ornaments. 

I made three different variations of this Christmas card. I made the card base colour match each of the ornaments by adding Distress Ink to the base with the Ink Blending Tool. I only did it to the edges, as the card front hides the mid part. 

Here you see one of the other cards with pink background. For this I have used a Danish sentiment.
