Polychromos Colouring | Concord & 9th Spirograph Turnabout | Happy Birthday

Look at that white ink on the kraft cardstock! It's so bright and clear. I still love my Hero Arts Unicorn White pigment ink and this is one of the reasons. 

To make this card I first stamped the turnabout stamp using the C&9 Jig. Then I let the ink dry up for a while before colouring. 

The sentiment is also just stamped with the Unicorn White pigment ink. I could have used white heat embossing, but why when the white ink is so opaque. 

To colour in the spirograph I have used these Polychromos colours:

101 + 119 + 134

To finish off the card I added a few white enamel drops. This is a clean and simple card just like I love them. Yes, the colouring takes some time but it is a relaxing process for me. Basically I say it is a win-win situation :)

Peaceful Wreath | Altenew | Layered Stamping | Concord & 9th

When I saw this layered wreath stamp set from Altenew I knew I had to get it. It is even more perfect than expected. This will definitely be used for many Christmas cards!

I have combined this stamp & die set from Altenew with a sentiment from Concord & 9th, which I have heat embossed in my own embossing powder mix. 

Do you know that you can make your own embossing powder mix? You just have to choose some of your powders and mix them together. And yes, the result is of course unkown :)

I have used some of my Altenew mini cubes inks for this card. I didn't quite have dark enough colours so this turned out to be a Christmas wreath in lighter colours. 

I honestly cannot tell you which embossing powder colours I have mixed together. Truth be told, this mix is from some Online Card Class I took years ago. My guess is a mix with black, gold and silver. Nevertheless, it looks fantastic.

I have used a white and dark green Polychromos pencil to make details on the wreath to give it more deepth. 

Oh, and that background die - Just love it! So glad I also got this one from Altenew. Some might not have thought of using it for a Christmas card, but I say you can use it for any occasion.

2 Months Till Christmas | Simon Says Stamp | Falling Stars

It's that time again - the 24th of the month!

Just if you haven't realized there is ONLY 2 months till Christmas. Better get starting on those Christmas cards :)

As usual we are sharing some Christmas Card inspiration over at Operation Skriv Hjem (Danish Operation Write Home). 

This is my star filled card...

This gorgeous falling stars die from Simon Says Stamp is my new favorite! 

I added a touch of golden thread to add a bit of dimension and interest to the card. 

I love Christmas time and December month. It's filled with cozy evenings, hopefully nice winter weather and hot chocolate.
