Merry Christmas | God Jul | Heat embossing on Kraft | Gittes Eget Design

This card is a Design Team challenge for Hobbyboden.dk about stretching you stamps.

My take on this challenge was to create my own border by repeat stamping. By combining two text stamps I could create a Christmas CAS card.

The sentiment is Danish and means Merry Christmas - From all of us to all of you.

I often find that heat embossing on Kraft cardstock can be a bit tricky. Reason is that the Kraft cardstock I use is rather thirsty. Therefore it soaks up the VersaMark ink rather quickly. But by using my MISTI stamping tool I can stamp twice with the ink and this works so much better. MISTI for the win!

To emphasize the border I have used a dotted line die from Paper Smooches. This has such a good effect on the card and really makes it look like a text border.

Designer's Choice "Watercolor Smooshing" - Inkspirational Challenges

It is time again for our Designers Choice challenge over at

Inkspirational Challenges.

It has been up to fellow design teamie Kim to choose the challenge this time.
And she has chosen the theme:

The is a technique where the outcome is totally unpredictable. I decided to try this out on kraft cardstock just for the fun of it.

For my "smooshing" I used a piece of acetate. First I applied some ink from a Tim Holtz Distress Ink mini cube on the acetate, then sprayed some water on it. Thereafter I put the acetate against my cardstock and smooshed on the ink.

I repeated this 3 times with 3 different Distress Ink colours.

Teenage Cool

Today I am blogging a Teenage Cool card for Norwegian Kaboks.

I am also blogging over on their blog HERE.

This year's season for Konfirmations is beginning and a lot of Danish young people will be confirmated at Church and having a party afterwards.

I wanted to create a card for a young man who's very fond of music.

Who wouldn't want a badass guitar with fire!
