Holiday Cheer | Christmas Card | Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Stamp

It's Christmas in July and we've got some quite warm summerdays these days. Phew, I could honestly use a good cool down and a few snowflakes.

I love quick cards and this is one of them. And it can be done even faster - just drop the ink blending part. 

I have used WOW Misty Sky embossing powder for this card.

Honestly, I am not too happy with this card. I wish I had chosen white cardstock instead of kraft so the colours would be more intense. But then I wouldn't be able to use the white pencil. Oh well, it's still a pretty decent result, right.

Christmas Mail | Create A Smile Stamps | WOW Embossing Powder

What is not to like about heat embossing techniques! For this Christmas card I have combined the untraditional colours navy blue, gold and white and it gives a clean and fresh look. 

As usual we are sharing some Christmas Card inspiration over at Operation Skriv Hjem (Danish Operation Write Home).

I used the MISTI to stamp the sentiment. I did stamp twice with the VersaMark Embossing ink to ensure really good coverage on the navy blue cardstock. 

Before stamping I used my EK Success Powder Tool to remove any static and grease fingerprints from the cardstock. By doing so I got a really good result with both the WOW gold and Ranger's Super Fine White.

Because of the texture surface of the cardstock I do get a "broken" coverage of the heat embossing. But I just think it gives the card character.
