Bit by Bit of Designpaper #6 | Create A Smile | Gummiapan

Today I am sharing another card project I have made for the Danish Operation Write Home - Operation Skriv Hjem. 

If was for a card serie called "Bit by Bit of Designpaper" where I focused on using 12 x 12 designpaper with busy colourful patterns.

This is one of the more "busy" cards with I wasn't completely happy with. I should not have used a fishtail die with dots at the edges. It get's too busy in combination with the busy multi-coloured designpaper. I also make bad decisions once in a while but it doesn't matter. Just as long as I learn from it :)

The designpaper is really gorgeous and I have tried to maintain and honor the designpaper by not hiding it away. 

The Danish sentiment means "Congrats".

I have layered the sentiment by gluing together 3 diecuts. This emphasizes the sentiment more on the card.

Joyous Holiday! | Sunny Studio | Traditional Christmas Colours | Gold Glitter

I tend not to throw things away 'cause perhaps it could be used for something. This is one of these examples. 

This gold glitter christmas tree is a gift tag from christmas eve. It would be such a shame to just throw it in the trash bin, right!

If you have a tree die and some gold glitter cardstock you can easily re-create this card.

All the red Nuvo Christal drops are placed in holes in the christmas tree. Because it was a gift tag there was a hole at the top of the tree close to the star. So I just made more holes creating a pattern on the tree. 

These holes I filed up with red Nuvo Crystal drops. Simple and easy!

Just remember to let the nuvo drops dry over night. I didn't this time, so the top of the drops has gotten a litte squeeze. 

Adding a sentiment and some red striped designpaper....voila....you've got a christmas card.

Merry Christmas | Gummiapan | Clearly Besotted

Merry 2nd Advent :)

Heat embossing is something I should do more often on my cards. The look and the result is all worth it. 

Here are a couple of Christmas cards I have made...

This first card is made using Liquid Platinum embossing powder and glitter gift wrapping paper which matches the platinum perfectly. 

The second card is kept in gold. Here the glitter cardstock really sparkles!

For the tree and sentiment I have used Ranger super fine gold embossing powder. 

To give the trees a touch of colour I have added little drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops.
