Pattern Play with Glue & Watercolor

This is a card and tutorial I had published in the Norwegian printed magazine "Ett Trykk"
In 2016 I am on their Guest Designer team.

The theme of the April Magazine was to "create your own background".
This is what I ended up creating and having published in April edition.

TUTORIAL:

Create your own pattern on your card front by lightly drawing pencil lines.
--

Here is my finished pattern drawn by light hand with a pencil using a ruler.
--

Use standard glue to "draw with" following your pencil lines.
--

Let your glue pattern dry overnight.
--

 Pull out your watercolours :)
--

Add watercolour to your cardfront. First I wet the cardstock and then added my preferred colour combination.
--

All finished with the watercolouring. Now it needs to dry overnight.
--

Here is the result the day after - all ready to be used on my card.
--

For my final card I added some vellum leafs - one of them I have heat embossed. The sentiment is kept very simple - just a dymo sentiment.

I am very, very satisfied with the result of this card. I had absolutely no expectations to how the end result of the glue pattern and water coloring would be.

Have a fab day :)
Pia xx
