Bold & Beautiful......Sweet Stampin' Challenge

Hello everyone!
It is Saturday and that means it is time for a new Sweet Stampin' Challenge! YAY...
For this week our challenge theme is

"Bold & Beautiful".

We're sponsored by Iva Nova Chest / Crafters Companion this week. Furthermore don't forget our monthly sponsor which is The Ribbon Girl.

Be sure to pop by Sweet Stampin's Blog. We've got plenty of inspiration from the Design Team and we hope you will join us in the fun. You have only fun to gain!
The only thing you have to remember is that your project MUST have stamping on it.
Here is my DT card for the challenge..................

For the main background I have used a Hexagon stamp from Hero Arts which I have heat embossed with white.

The black strip is made by stamping two stripe stamps from Simon Says Stamp with white pigment ink. As pigment ink is slow drying I had to let this dry before finishing the card. If you are the impatient type you can speed up the process by using a heat gun.

On the black strip I have also heat embossed the sentiment. Here it is really, really important that the pigment ink is completely dry. Otherwise, the embossing powder will stick to the pigment ink!

The final touch to the card is the BIG bow from MFT.

Hope you got inspired :o)
Don't forget to stop by Sweet Stampin's Blog and check out the other DT Ladies cards or perhaps even participate in the Challenge.

Join in the Fun :o)

  4. Absolutely fabulous. All that embossing and it's done so wonderfully that I thought it was purchased paper with the pattern on it! This is a gorgeous card with such elegance, but definitely wasn't a quick and simple card! Beautiful colors, striking, and that bow is just outstanding. --Gail

  5. Pia that embossing and stamping is amazing! I too thought it was paper. Nice use of the background stamp and great interpretation of Bold and Beautiful.

Thank you so much for your comment. I really appreciate it ;o)
