His & Hers Class - Day 3: Sympathy card for Her

I have already posted my sympathy card for Him in the previous blog post and now it is time for Her card.

You might already have guessed that todays theme in class was Sympathy Cards. This is a kind of card which is usually not easy to make. Not because of the action of making the card, but the situation of the receiver of the card. This can be a tough one and I only feel lucky that I actually don't know any in need of such a card.

But that is not an excuse to avoid doing todays homework, so here is my take on a sympathy card for Her. This could actually also go to a couple, mainly because the colours aren't all that girlie.

The trick of using the steem of the flowers as base for the sentiment is nicked from a previous OnlineCardClass. It is such a great idea!

Also clear stamps are so easy to work with. It is so great that you can bend the clear stamps to follow a curved line, which I have done here.

The flowers are coloured with Promarker pens. I must admit that I have not spend any time trying to make shading in the flowers. This is just a very quick colouring. To finalize the card I have used a white Signo pen to make little dots in the center of the flowers, which I find bring out the flowers more.

Thanks for taking a look. If you are a fellow student, I hope you are enjoying this class as much as I :o)
