So I have taken a nose dive into my little box of such scraps....and THREE cards emerged this weekend. All of them simply created by gathering scraps, bits and pieces and let them lead the way.
Here is the first card.
Looking back I really regret not having embossed the sentiment. The white ink just doesn't seem "sharp" enough. Well, I'll try and remember that for next time!
For embellishments I've used some buttons with a piece of white embroidery thread tied on.
For this card I've used three colours of long scraps. In one of the Online Card Classes (can't remember which one) they showed how to use these looong scraps to make your own chevron pattern or weave/plead a pattern.
First I cut out a long piece of medium thick paper, 3 cm. wide.
Then I cut a similar long strip of double sided tape, also 3 cm. wide. Adhered this to the paper. Then I cut a diagonal cut on each end of the long strips of coloured scraps. One colour by one I adhered them to the paper.
This card is participating in Simon Says Stamp's blog with the theme
"Anything Goes"
Thanks for taking a peek. Hope you've had a wonderful weekend.
