Hello there!
It is Saturday and that means it is time for a new Sweet Stampin' Challenge! YAY...
For the next week our current challenge is
"By the Sea/Ocean".
We're sponsored by Sir Stampalot who is giving away 2 stamps. Furthermore don't forget our monthly sponsor which is The Ribbon Girl.
Be sure to pop by Sweet Stampin's Blog. We've got plenty of inspiration from the Design Team and we hope you will join us in the fun.
You have nothing to loose and only fun to gain!
The only thing you have to remember is that your card MUST have stamping on it.
Here is my DT card to kick start your inspiration..................
I got the idea for the life saver from this fabulous Card. Thought it perfect for an Ocean inspired card. I used some red embroidery thread to make the life saver but any kind of red string/thread can be used.
The back ground is stamped repeatedly with the back side of a border stamp. Why? Cause I didn't have a border stamp which was wide enough. Remember, the back side of your stamps are always a little bit larger than the actual image. Take for example dots. If you have a dot stamp, then you actually have two sizes of dot stamps. The actual stamp AND the back side of the stamp.
The little cute fish is from Paper Smooches and stamped in Hero Arts Shadow Ink. I have fuzzy cut the fish and adhered it to the card with 3D squares.
For a little extra touch I have stamped the splash of water so it looks like the fish is going to jump through the life saver.
Hope you got inspired :o)
Don't forget to stop by Sweet Stampin's Blog and check out the other DT Ladies cards or perhaps even participate in the Challenge. Join in the Fun :o)
With this Card I am participating in Addicted to CAS's Challenge with codeword
"Summer"
and
