Designer's Choice "She Art" - INKspirational Challenges

Ohh, we something unique lined up for you!

This time at Inkspirational Challenges we have a Designer's Choice.
And it is Yvonne's turn to choose.

She has chosen the theme:
"She Art" or "Image of a Woman"

I have to admit this challenge theme was a HUGE challenge for me. It really pushed me out of my comfort zone and really had me think of how to combine my own style with "She Art".

I am not at all satisfied with my hand sketching this time....too many details to consider and I have never, never been good at drawing arms and hands....LOL. If only I had a stamp image of a woman - if so, I would certainly have used it! My own hand sketched image of a woman is not exactly great art..LOL..

The image of the woman is inspired by Tim Holtz latest "Fashion 2" stamp. If I had had that stamp by Tim I would certainly have used it!

The background is made by first colouring it with Distress Inks with the Ink Blending tool. Then I mistet water on a stencil and laid the stencil on top of my inked background. The water on the stencil areas then reacted with the ink and created a subtle pattern.

I noticed that a lot of She Art also have flowers in the background, so I also added some flowers. The sentiment in She Art often gives a message, so I went for a Fashion statement with my baby sister in mind.

We have sweet Lyndal from "Ideas & Paper" joining us. You should really pop by her blog and leave her some love :o)

Go check out the other wonderful Design Team gals and their creations:
Yvonne

And then pop over to Inkspirational Challenges with your card or project.
I can't wait to see what YOU create!

  5. Pia, I initially thought your image was a stamp and to discover you drew this only adds to the impression! Your card is truly amazing: you've conveyed the images/messages of She Art with flair and style! Your sister will be thrilled with this, as am I. WOW!
