Pattern Play - Day 3

Loads of great tips and tricks just keep on coming in the OnlineCardClass. I am participating in the class "Pattern Play". And it is such a great class!

Today I wanted to try out Kristina Werner's (one of the teachers) technique. Our main goal was to choose a pattern paper which we haven't been able to overcome using. Perhaps because of the large/busy/bold pattern. The pattern paper I found is a very, very, very old piece of paper from a BasicGrey 12x12 pad. I don't think it is available in stores anymore.

Luckily, I still had matching papers from the pad. I ended up choosing a very bold greenish colour as contrast to the pattern paper. To give the card a little calmness I also used a solid rose card stock.

The banner is made out of two die cuts. One in rose and another in creme card stock. I cut the creme banner in half and adhered it to the back of the rose banner. This was to create a boarder between the very busy pattern paper and the sentiment.

I am also participating in Simon Says Stamp Challenge with the theme EASTER/SPRING
