The topic of Day 5 is "Paper manipulation". In class we were shown different techniques of manipulation; Quilted paper, paper weaving and cut out embellishments.
The first card I made for Day 5 was with the technique "paper weaving". For this check out my earlier post.
This time I have tried out the technique "paper quilting". In class the technique was shown creating a strip. Now, I wanted to see how it looked if done in a heart shape. I am actually quite satisfied with the result :o)
I made a frame in the card using my bone folder - just to give the card base a little texture and instead of the usual stitching frame.
The sentiment is stamped with Hero Arts Shadow Ink "Orange Soda". The shadow Ink colours from Hero Arts are without a doubt my faves!
With this card I'm participating in Panduro's Challenge. This time the theme is "Musik" (Song in English). Alright, I know it is a bit tacky, but I really do love a good Happy Birthday song....let's face it...who doesn't! 'Cause there usually follows presents :o)

Thanks for your time :o)
Love your quilted heart! There are so many possibilities with this technique...
ReplyDeleteYou should be quite satisfied, this card is darling. I particularly like the color scheme- soft and pretty. Every card needs a small bit of bling and you've rocked it on this card. Great job!
