YOU....fill my thoughts

The teachers at OnlineCardClasses have given us a Pre-Class Challenge for the Summer Card Class 2. The class starts on Monday July 8th and will run for 3 weeks!

This is my second card for this colour challenge......this time also a top folded card.....

The Pre-Class Challenge 1 is a colour challenge, where we must create a card using at least 4 of the 5 given colours.

I have created the chevron arrows by using the smallest Sizzix Framelits "Hexagon" die. I don't have any chevron dies, so I had to think of a creative solution.

I die-cut a hexagon piece in each colour card stock. Thereafter I cut of a piece of the hexagon shape with a pair of scissors. I did one first and when I was satisfied with its shape I used it as a stensil for the other two.

The sentiment is heat embossed using Opaque White powder from American Crafts.

I always prefer to use heat embossing for white sentiments. The reason is that I find white ink to be difficult to work with. And heat embossing always gives a very good result when using the powder tool beforehand.

That is it for now. Enjoy the day and hopefully the sun is shining from a clear sky whereever you are :o)

  1. Clever use of the die, I really like that creativity! LOL Love the simplistic CAS look of the card! Very well done! Thanks for sharing the description, also. That's the fun part, learning from others. See ya in class!
