One Big Hug....Day 3 at Summer Camp

Can't believe Day 3 has already begun. Soooo many techniques to choose from in todays lesson.

As usual there is homework for us students :o)

Once again the cards we make this week must follow a specific colour scheme and today we are again going to use the 3 sketches from Day 1.

Here is my card for todays homework.....(admit I went totally overboard with flowers today LOL)

The technique I have used is "Masked Background" which was shown by guest artist Kelly Purkey. I cut out a banner in masking paper and thereafter stamped away with a tiny little flower stamp.

For this card I have used some embellishments made out of IKEA packing. I have quite a few black IKEA CD boxes and the other week when I was unwrapping a new pair there was this extra piece used to stabilize the packing. Ideas and possibilities for using this for cards emerged in my head. Anything is possible with a Big Shot and the big Sizzix dies!

For the sentiment I wanted to try out stamping the sentiment so it fades out. I am not too happy with the result. Better luck for me next time!

I have used Glossy Accents to adhere the black flowers to the card. Wanted to make sure they stay put!

With this Card I am participating in Nordsalten Hobbyklubb's Challenge with the theme
"Lot's of flowers / Masse Blomster"

  1. Sødt blomsterkort til de er pludselige situationer, som man lige mangler et kort til.

  2. Oh no, not too many flowers at all!! They just add more and more sweetness to an already sweet card! I love how you chose to create the banner by masking it as well! I think I might have to CASE this idea so I can complete that darn Sketch #1 - it has been giving me such grief! I must have tried three different looks trying to use it yesterday, and every last one of them hit the recycling bin! But you have given me the courage to go back and try again!!!
