A Card in Geometric Style

If you are looking for the Sweet Stampin' blogpost you can click HERE.

I have one more card for you today. This card is based on a sketch from The Inkspirational Challenges and I will show it to you later in the blog post.
For my card I have created the background myself using a ruler, a watermark pen and embossing powder.
This is one of the reasons for the geometric style in the card. If I had chosen a more masculine colour, this card would be perfect for a bloke. But for some unknown reason I am apparently having a "Purple" fase :o)

In some parts of the background I have used a Distress Marker. I have added water with my waterbrush in most places, but some of the triangles have not been added water.

The sentiment is kept very simple and in the same colour theme. For the chevrons I have used the technique generation stamping. It looks as if I have used 3-4 ink colours, but in fact I have only used one! This is the cool effect of generation stamping.

With this card I am participating in the sketch challenge at Inkspirational.

Have a sunny Saturday :o)

  3. Wow... how much patience you must have had to create that background! It is such a unique take on the sketch. The silver looks great against the purple. Thanks so much for taking the time to join us this week at Inkspirational and good luck in our DT call!

  5. Hvor er det fint og lækkert - men søde Pia - du er da alt for ung til en lilla fase. Kender du ikke digtet "When I'm and old woman I shall wear purple..." - eller google det og få dig et billigt grin. =0)
