"Getting to Know You" Blog Hop

Today I am taking part of the worldwide "Getting to Know You" Blog Hop.

It's a total honour to be a part of this. I have been tagged by über cool Canadian Kim Makortoff from Arts Keeps Me Sane. She is one of my talented fellow teamies on The Inkspirational Challenges. Kim has, as me, a thing for CAS and her cards are an inspiration to me and so many others.

Alright, I better get to it. In this Blog Hop I have to answer some questions, so that all of you can get to know me :o) So here we go.

(My scrap room)

1.What creative projects are you currently working on?
At the moment I am working on a couple of things. First up I am working on my design team chores getting cards ready for future challenges. I always prefer to be an early bird.

Secondly I am working on the final part of my current Card Mission, which is a little personal challenge. It is all about using up one of my first ever bought scrapbooking paperpads/kits. It is scrapbooking papers back from 2005-2007, so very old stuff.

Thirdly I am working on going from picture tutorials to video tutorials. So at the moment I am editing video clips and getting them ready for my blog or The Paper Crafting Magazine. The Paper Crafting Magazine is a Scandinavian online E-magazine, which I write for.

2.What inspires your designs?
Oh boy, what doesn't. I admit that I find Jennifer McGuire to be a major inspiration as she is a wizard with techniques. I also find loads of inspiration from many challenges, especially CAS challenges. With the internet there are unlimited sources of inspiration, other card makers around the world, Pinterest, challenges, online scrap stores, stamp & die manufacturers. But sometimes all it takes for me  isto see a photo, a stamp set or a die and the inspiration comes to me.

3.What method / process (if applicable) do you apply to each of your creative projects, and how long does each project take to complete?
I am a sucker for stamping and ink pads. When I first got totally hooked on stamping I didn't know all the endless possibilities with inks. At the moment I love to use the ink blending technique and heat embossing on my cards. Gorgous results! And then there is the amazing Distress Inks. They work so well for so many different techniques.
To make a card can take from 20 minutes to over an hour, sometimes even more if I include the thinking process. Who would have thought that a CAS card can be so time consuming. But it can! LOL.

4.If you had to describe your 'signature' style, what would it be?
I bet you already have guessed that my signature style is CAS. I can do the extreme classic one-layer CAS card with loads of white space and I can do a more fluffy CAS style with a little more "filling" and a little less white space.
But when it comes to my Mission Cards my style is "get most of the paper used", so these cards fall very much outside of my signature CAS style.

5. What are 3 crafting products/tools you can't live without?
Easy question, only wish I could name more than 3 :o)

Fiskars Stamping Press
Stamps....lots of stamps
Ink pads

Now it is time for me to tag the two cardmakers whom I admire and find inspirational.
I am therefore tagging Svitlana and Cecilie.

Svitlana is an Ukranian cardmaker living in New York and she has a huge heart. I have even had the please of meeting sweet Svitlana IRL when I visited Manhattan in May this year.

Cecilie is a talented Dane living in Bonn with her hushand. I have gotten to know Cecilie through the Danish Opeartion Write Home, OSH.

Ladies, it is your turn next Monday.

Pia :o)
