Happy Birthday.....with Fishtails

I just had to make another card today since it is last day of my holiday. Tomorrow it is back to work.....oh boy, could really use an extra week of vacation. This holiday has just flown by.

The past two days I have been trying to get up to speed with all the blogs I follow. And during my "surfing" I couldn't help getting inspired. Belive me it was hard to choose!

This card is inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #25 and the colours from Color Throwdown's challenge.

It is the first time I've gotten a chance to try out my fishtail dies from My Favorite Things. And they were so easy to work with and went smoothly through the Epic6.

Some dies tend to not work properly - not cut all the way through the card stock evenly all over. Then I add a sheet or two of normal printing paper before I run it through the Epic6. This usually solves the problem.

I found a scrap of some wide satin ribbon, which I think works perfectly with this card.

In the end I added a little tiny dot of Glossy Accents on top of the "i" in Birthday. I really had to hold myself back and not add more to the card....glossy accents dots or gems. I held my ground and so this is how the card is!

With this card I am also participating in;
  •  CAS-ual Fridays challenge with the keyword "Birthday Bash"
  • SimonSaysStamp challenge where the theme is "Anything Goes"
  • Panduro's challenge where your project must have at least 3 layers

I hope you all have enjoyed this Sunday. Believe me, I have! :o)
