Good Wednesday morning :)
Well, that means I have # 10 of my "Washi Wednesday Cards" to share with you :)
This time it is again about Christmas or more precisely about a Christmas tree!
Well, that means I have # 10 of my "Washi Wednesday Cards" to share with you :)
This time it is again about Christmas or more precisely about a Christmas tree!
How many ways can you use Washi tape on cards?
Well, that's what I am trying to find out. It is a little personal challenge I have going at the moment.
One of my earlier Washi Wednesday Cards was also illustrating a Christmas tree. This was card #8 and you can see it HERE. Eventhough both cards illustrate a Christmas tree they are made in very different ways.
Supplies used: Well, that's what I am trying to find out. It is a little personal challenge I have going at the moment.
One of my earlier Washi Wednesday Cards was also illustrating a Christmas tree. This was card #8 and you can see it HERE. Eventhough both cards illustrate a Christmas tree they are made in very different ways.
For this card I started with cutting out a triangle of green card stock. Then I began to adhere the washi tapes I had choosen for this tree - but not horisontally. The ends of the washi tapes have been given a little tape on the backside of the triangle to ensure the ends don't loosen. Some washi tapes have a tendency not to stick very well.
A little piece of kraft makes the trunk of the tree. The tree is then decorated with gems matching the colours of the washi tapes.
The star on top of the tree is die-cut of gold card stock and given a layer of Glossy Accents.
Both tree and star is adhered to the card base with 3D squares.
To create the background on the card base (which also makes for the sentiment) I have stamped the sentiment repeatedly with Hero Arts Shadow Ink. I did though mask off the sides of the card base first to create a white frame.
With this card I am participating in Simon Says Stamp Challenge with the theme
"Christmas / Happy Holidays"
I am also participating in Moxie Fab World: Handmade Cards Week in the Challenge
"The Stickers & Tape"
You can see some of my earlier Washi Wednesday Cards here.... #3 HERE, #4 HERE, # 6 HERE and #9 HERE if you are curious or a newcomer to my blog.
Which Washi Wednesday Card do you like best? #8 or todays #10?
That's it for now.
Have a splendid Wednesday!
Pia xx
