Good day to you all,
It's Saturday and that means it is time for a new Sweet Stampin' Challenge!
For the next week our current challenge is
"Wood/Trees/Leaves"
We want to see something which shows wood, trees or leaves or all at once! Let your creativity loose and create a project. We'd love to see what you create!
This week we are sponsored by HobbyCutz Online Store.
Furthermore don't forget our monthly sponsor which is The Ribbon Girl. The Ribbon Girl is giving away a £ 10 voucher to our monthly winner.
Be sure to stop by Sweet Stampin's Blog. We've got plenty of inspiration from the Design Team and we hope you will join us in the fun.
All styles and projects are more than welcome. The only thing you have to bare in mind is that your project MUST have stamping on it.
Here is my DT cards to kick start your inspiration.........I couldn't decide which one to choose, so you get to see both.........
This card is stamped using Hero Arts Shadow Inks, which mixes well together when doing overlaping stamping.
The sentiment is heat embossed and the embossing powder is a mix of gold, silver and black embossing powder. I have a tendency to save all scraps and pieces and this also goes for leftovers from previous embossing projects.
On the photo below you can see the look you get when mixing embossing powders.
My second card is made using Memento ink for the woodgrain background. This ink is very dominant, when using Hero Arts Shadow Inks afterwards. This is why the green leaves gets a very look-through look.
To spice up the card I added dots of Distres Stickles "Fired Brick". I too rarely uses stickles and I certainly has to do something about it. 'Cause it looks really cool!
Here I have stamped the sentiment in Hero Arts Shadow Ink "Royal Red".
Lastly I have added some red half pearl to the card. This gives the card an extra touch of Christmas.
Well, that is all for now. Don't forget to stop by Sweet Stampin's Blog and check out the other DT Ladies cards or perhaps even participate in the Challenge.
Come and join us :o)

These cards are absolutely beautiful, Pia. Love the woodgrain stamp and it works perfectly with the Christmas wreath. Your embossing is so neat, too - I get the powder everywhere! Hugs, Tracey x
